Ben O’Donnell, PE, CEM, BEAP
Associate Director of Engineering

As Associate Director of Engineering, Ben’s role is to administer all engineering services, including energy audits, retro-commissioning studies, ongoing commissioning services, and new commissioning. In addition, he administers other technical studies, incentive applications (NYSERDA, ConEd, etc.), and works together with the sustainability team on engineering concept designs for LEED projects. Ben’s top priority as Associate Director and head of the engineering team is to offer an unbiased perspective around what steps the client should take to maximize the life cycle of equipment at the building, meet the occupant’s needs, the long term plans of the owner, and identify ways to improve energy efficiency and building operation. Specializing in existing commercial and industrial properties, Ben has extensive experience in HVAC system design, energy auditing, commissioning, energy calculations, and implementation of energy conservation measures. Ben holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University. He is also a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in NY, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers, and a Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP) with ASHRAE.
