The Urban Green Council (USGBC New York Local Chapter) held their first annual Urban Green Expo on September 22, 2009. Chris VanderWeyden, Senior Project Manager moderated a panel during the two day event. The panel, "Major Green: Retrofitting NYC's Commercial Buildings" featured panelists from three top tier New York City building owners, SL Green Realty Corp, Tishman Speyer and Beacon Capitial Parnters. The panel used case studies from three LEED-EB certified projects in the city to demonstrate the process and strategies in which each owner took to achieve LEED Certification.

- CodeGreen hosted clients and friends on August 5th, 2009 at the Museum of Natural History for a private guided tour of the award winning Climate Change Exhibit. Guests were shown the effects of climate change and how their continuing efforts in taking steps towards sustainability have contributed in helping to reduce the climate change effects. Event coverage was provided by BisNow New York.

- CodeGreen continued its community support by attending and sponsoring a race for the 27th Annual Race Against MS event at Belmont Race Track. The event was a great success, as nearly 550 guest attended and helped to raise $380,000 in the support of the New York City chapter's programs, research and services for people living with MS. (June 2009)

- CodeGreen exhibited at the 2009 BOMA Chicago Trade Show where there was a record of over 270 building owners and managers that attended. (May 2009)
- Young CGers support the New York chapter of the Emerging Green Builders as they host a competition for students of sustainable fashion design at the Project Earth Day runway show. (April 2009)
- CodeGreen is featured in the special Eco-Initiative section of the Earth Day Special Edition of the New York Post for greening 100 Park Avenue for SL Green. Check out the full story here. (April 2009)

- CodeGreen displays at GREENBUILD 2008 International Conference, November 18th in Boston. (November 2008)
- CodeGreen's Ashley Goodwin was invited to participate in CoreNet Global's "LEED Panel Discussion" along with other panelists from Jones Lang LaSalle, Bovis Lend Lease, and SVP Northwest Capital Projects-Citi. The discussion which took place on November 19th covered LEED, green leasing, ROI, and sustainable portfolio strategies. CoreNet featured the event in their global newsletter, shown here.
- Planning to attend the Building Commissioning Association Conference this October in Long Island? CodeGreen will be participating in the event providing commissioning resources for LEED and energy efficiency strategies.
- GreenerBuildings showcased CodeGreen in the feature article "The Renovation of LEED-EB," where Kaitlin Regan of the CG team discusses the growth of the LEED-EB program and its increasing market value for building owners and managers.
- Ready, set, bet! CodeGreen proudly supported the 26th Annual Race Against MS by hosting a race of the day at Belmont Park. The National MS Society raises awareness and funding for innovative research efforts and offers support to those living with multiple sclerosis.
- CodeGreen will be returning to Real Estate Media's Conference Series as a moderator during RealShare Green Buildings on June 3rd in Washington, DC. The program will bring together real estate leaders to discuss greening assets successfully and the market's continuing transformation.
- CodeGreen participated in the Sustainability Challenge in Old Buildings, hosted by CoreNet Global Chicago Chapter on May 8, 2008. Cherish Samuels of CodeGreen presented and moderated the panel, exploring projects such as the Merchandise Mart and the Chicago Center for Green Technology.
- CodeGreen participates in "Green Week," a series of events hosted by Horizon Media in conjunction with the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network in an effort to build awareness of pertinent environmental issues. Kaitlin Regan of CodeGreen was among the panelists, discussing practical solutions to improve health and performance in the workplace.
- CodeGreen Institute sessions were held at Cushman & Wakefield's Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Chicago offices, successfully preparing building managers, engineers, and professionals for the LEED AP exam.

- CodeGreen helps build awareness with The Nature Conservancy, hosting a cocktail event on March 18, 2008 to garner support for TNC's efforts to preserve the Catskill Mountains, NYC's primary water source.

- CodeGreen has recently been selected to be an Energy Star Partner by the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), who provides the Energy Star benchmarking tools.

- CodeGreen will participate in "the Greening of New York City Commercial
Real Estate" conference hosted by Real Estate Media's RealShare
Conference Series and Real Estate New York magazine. The focus will be
on the rapidly growing green building movement, where CodeGreen will be among the panelists participating in the discussions.
The event will take place on September 5th, 2007, at the Harvard Club in
Manhattan.
