Mission

CodeGreen’s mission is simple: create sustainable solutions and build a business case for green.  The future of the “green economy” is founded on a new paradigm where efficiency is rewarded, and heavy carbon emitters are socially and financially taxed.  CG knows that sustainable practices are not only smart for people and operations, but business as well.  With buildings accounting for 39% of greenhouse gas emissions across the country, CG is creating solutions today which reduce the impact of tomorrow.  Together, we strive for an environmentally and economically just and sustainable future through our commitment to people, profits, and the planet.

  • Carbon Neutrality

When necessary to travel by airplane, CodeGreen partakes in sustainable travel by purchasing carbon credits to offset the impact from flights.

  • Transportation Initiative
With 1.5 lbs of CO2 emitted for each mile driven by taxi, CodeGreen is committed to and encourages the use of public transportation when traveling to and from the office.  CG also selects green freight transportation when shipping, which utilizes bio diesel fuel as well as reforestation offsets.
  • Supporting Sustainability

CodeGreen has a strong relationship with The Nature Conservancy and is committed to support efforts that promote environmental protection and preservation.

  • Best Management Practices

The CodeGreen team practices sustainability by promoting an efficient and  healthy working environment.  Try implementing some of the green tips we follow to reduce your office footprint:

  • Save more than your money – think before you print!  Promote the use of electronic documents – when printing cannot be avoided, double-side and select black and white.
  • Look for the ENERGY STAR label when purchasing electronics.  Set your computer to hibernate when not in use and shut down at the end of the day.  If you step away from your desk for some time, quickly turn off the monitor.
  • Capitalize on natural light and heat for your space and choose task lighting before overhead lighting if necessary.
  • Purchase products that contain recycled content and are produced in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • Ordering lunch?  Look for “green” alternatives when catering.
  • Implement an employee health and wellness program.
