Local Law 85: NYC Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC)
- Beginning July 1, 2010, all renovation projects, regardless of size, will have to comply with the current energy code which governs energy efficiency including lighting, heating and cooling and windows, etc.
- Prior to this legislation, renovations that affected less than 50% of the building area were not required to comply with current energy codes. This law closes that loophole.
The CodeGreen Approach
CodeGreen’s team of Registered Architects (RAs), Professional Engineers (PEs), and Certified Energy Managers (CEMs) work with building owners and managers to perform TR-8 Inspections that are required by the Energy Code. Our proprietary software ProActTM, provides a tracking tool to document upgrades that comply with the NYCECC.
