Ashley Goodwin, LEED AP - Senior Director

Ashley earned her BS in Civil Engineering, and her MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Utah State University, where her focus was hydraulics and water resources. She has been involved in environmental design since graduate school and has extensive knowledge working on large-scale LEED-NC projects. She also consults on LEED-EB, LEED-CS, and LEED-CI projects regarding LEED documentation and certification. Ms. Goodwin is Senior Director for CodeGreen, handling the management and certification of all green conversion projects. Ashley is certified through the USGBC as LEED Accredited Professional (AP), is a member of the USGBC-NY, and has also served on the LEED Council for BOMA New York's Codes and Regulations Committee.

 

Patricia Lee, LEED AP - Senior Project Manager

Patricia earned her BA in Urban Studies & Architecture with a minor in Environmental Science from Columbia University. She has been working in both architectural and construction professions since graduating. She has experience in the design of commercial and residential spaces, with a focus on green design, as well as experience in construction management, including high volume tract housing. Ms. Lee works as Senior Project Manager for CodeGreen where she uses her background in green architecture as a valuable resource for Commercial Interiors and New Construction projects.  Ms. Lee is also an active member of the USGBC-NY.

 

Chris VanderWeyden, LEED AP - Senior Project Manager

Chris earned his diploma in Construction Engineering Technology in Canada. He has substantial construction management experience on large commercial, residential and institutional projects in Toronto, Canada. Since graduation he has focused on project management and green design. Chris has considerable LEED experience and knowledge with the LEED programs for Existing Buildings (EB), New Construction (NC), and Core & Shell (CS).  Chris is currently involved in over 15 LEED EB projects as well as a variety of NC and CS projects, where he actively manages all phases in the Certification process.  Mr. VanderWeyden is a Senior Project Manager for CodeGreen and a member of the USGBC-NY.

 

Chris McKinley, LEED AP - Project Manager

Chris received his education from the University of Colorado at Boulder’s College of Architecture & Planning, as well as Engineering & Applied Sciences.  With experience in the development, conceptualization, and design management of more than one hundred projects, Chris has fused his passion for green technology and sustainable design.  As a LEED Accredited Project Manager for CodeGreen, Chris applies his background in architecture, engineering, and construction management to facilitate the LEED-EB v2.0, LEED-EB: O&M, LEED-CI, and U.S. EPA Energy Star Label compliance and documentation process for our clients.  Chris is also a member of the USGBC-NY.

 

Cherish Samuels, LEED AP - Project Manager

An architectural engineer, Cherish earned her Masters of Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Building Systems from Penn State University in addition to a Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering from Tennessee State University.  With experience in the design, consulting, and commissioning of mechanical systems for a variety of building types, both new and existing, Cherish manages the greening process for our clients in addition to developing energy solutions.  Ms. Samuels is certified through the USGBC as a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and helps clients understand the LEED Rating System through educational seminars.  Ms. Samuels is the Midwest Regional Director for CodeGreen and is also a member of ASHRAE and the USGBC-Chicago Chapter.

 

Gillian Sciaretta, LEED AP - Assistant Project Manager

Gillian earned her BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University where she concentrated in hotel development with a focus on sustainable building operations.  Gillian’s extensive experience in building operations includes prior work with top hotels in both Manhattan and Washington D.C.  Ms. Sciaretta’s understanding of hospitality operations and the real estate market have allowed her to successfully adapt LEED requirements for hotel, restaurant, and commercial operations.  Gillian is a LEED Accredited Professional and is an active member of the USGBC-NY.  Gillian serves as Assistant Project Manager for CodeGreen.

 

David Alleyne - Assistant Project Manager

David Alleyne received his BS in Architecture Technology and his MS in Environmental Technology, with a concentration in sustainable development from the New York Institute of Technology.  He has worked in Civil Engineering, as well as the Architectural and Environmental Engineering fields.  Mr. Alleyne has knowledge of developing environmental management systems and a passion for sustainable development and design.  David is a member of the USGBC and is certified as an ISO Environmental Auditor.  For CodeGreen, David serves as an Assistant Project Manager.  

 

Kaitlin Regan, LEED AP - Marketing Manager

Kaitlin earned her BS in Business Administration from Ithaca College, with concentrations in Marketing and Management.  Ms. Regan has been involved in numerous green building and sustainability-related projects, and was presented with the Dean's Award for Distinguished Leadership and Service for her work.  Kaitlin is certified through the USGBC as a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and is an active member of the USGBC-NY.  Ms. Regan also serves on the PlaNYC 2030 Sub-Committee for BOMA New York's Codes and Regulations Committee and is an Urban Land Institute Young Leader.  As Marketing Manager for CodeGreen, Ms. Regan focuses on the marketability and business sense of going green while assisting in the management of our national clients.  Ms. Regan is also responsible for the management of our education division, CodeGreen Institute.

 

Walter Elyon, PE, CEM, LEED AP - Energy Manager

Walter earned his BS in Civil Engineering in Vienna, Austria and his MS and PhD from Colorado State University. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in the State of New York, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Cogeneration Professional. Walter has been working on energy conservation and sustainability projects for over twenty years, and has extensive experience in solar power technologies, photovoltaics, cogeneration and water conservation. He has devoted the last ten years more specifically to energy studies and identifying Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for projects in terms of building envelope, HVAC design and inventive technologies. Mr. Elyon is the Manager of Energy Services for CodeGreen.

 

Diana Rodriques - Project Support

Diana is currently earning her BA in Architecture at New York City Technical College.  A reservist and member of the Army Corp. of Engineers as a Carpentry and Masonry specialist, Ms. Rodriques has been involved in numerous building projects around the world and was awarded the Leadership Certificate for her work.  Diana applies her knowledge of architecture and interest in green design to assist our clients with their sustainable building projects as Project Support for CodeGreen.

 

Chara Ann Tappin - Director of Operations

Chara, our Director of Operations, manages daily operations and human resources for the firm, including monitoring and tracking nationwide green events and industry trends. Prior to joining CodeGreen, she was the Director of Operations for a boutique crisis management/public relations firm in New York City. Ms. Tappin also has extensive experience networking with business and residential communities throughout the city - having worked as the Community Engagement Manager/Outreach Coordinator for organizations such as Friends of the High Line (a preservation project focused on the conversion of 1.5 miles of elevated tracks into open public green-space) and the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation.
